Thanks to everyone that came out for the Itabashi-(almost)Oji sakura walk! We met up with a less-than-punctual, less-than-problematic panache, and proceded to have a grand ol’ time, with surprises everywhere, including instant friends and nihonshu. Robyn took this photo above while standing bravely atop the ramparts of one of the river’s bridges, but I also love this party. Toru snapped an awesomely dorky photo of me rocking my own camera, and Alfie’s F4. And about half of my photos will come back from the developer/scanner on Friday! In the meantime, here’s the ones from my own camera. I spent the walk thinking about how sakura photos fit into my own personal style of photography and about how to generate a story from the inanimate. I hope that everyone who came along had a blast, got some good photos, and grew as a photographer. Thanks again!
